At our firm, we have the client—and only the client—in mind.

Our reasons for becoming financial planning professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many of our CPA Firm’s income tax clients struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of income taxes, estate taxes and personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating our clients in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. We feel a commitment to our community.

At our firm, we have the client—and only the client—in mind.

Over the years, we have found that a team approach can be an effective method to help clients who have a wide variety of needs as they maneuver through a complex financial-services world. We invite you to discover and experience the power of our services. We believe it has far-reaching benefits for our clients to get opinions from several sources with diverse backgrounds, education, and experience.

No one strategy fits everyone, which is why every client gets our undivided attention—from planning to execution to follow-up. We take a proactive approach to helping you develop a tax efficient strategy to address your financial goals and objectives.

Eric Splaver co-founded Splaver Wealth Management, PLC with his wife and business partner Jennifer Splaver, CPA in 2010, after operating Splaver & Splaver CPA together since 2001. Investing had been a hobby of Eric’s since graduating from college and he had passively assisted friends and clients for years. While running his CPA firm, Eric watched those clients not receive the financial services he felt they deserved. After a family that the CPA firm worked with lost a member of their family and their financial advisor failed to follow the estate plan that was in place, the adverse financial consequences were more than Eric could bear. The poor advice they received and the subsequent adverse tax consequences they suffered as a result, inspired Eric obtain his securities licenses (he holds both Series 7 and 66 registrations) and to offer financial services as an integrated component of the firms services. Eric believes that comprehensive financial planning must incorporate income tax planning to achieve the optimal plan.

Eric has in excess of 30 years of progressive experience in the field of accounting and finance. Eric was a senior manager with KPMG having worked with clients in a number of industries including construction and real estate, finance and banking, as well as manufacturing, retailing and distribution. These companies ranged from small family owned business to publicly traded international corporations.

In addition to his experience in Big 4 public accounting, Eric was a corporate controller for a publicly traded auto sales and finance company where he played a key role in the initial public offering and was responsible for the Company’s internal control structure, accounting, SEC reporting, income tax minimization planning and preparation. Eric has also served as chief financial officer for both a finance company and internet company.  While serving in this capacity, Eric was responsible for company accounting and income taxes as well as bank relations, cash flow analysis, creditor negotiations and relations, treasury, economic strategy, and forecasting.
